There are many health problems associated with being overweight or obese such as diabetes, poor circulation, increased risk of stroke and heart attack, among others. When a person is overweight their body is working overtime just to function properly as compared to a person who is a healthy weight. Losing weight and exercising can decrease the health risks associated with being overweight along with leaving the person feeling better and stronger in their everyday life. The 21 day fix program is designed to help people achieve their weight loss goals, and build a relationship with exercising where they can make it a routine and part of their lifestyle.
The Exercise Program
In the 21 Day Fix program, you will receive two DVDs that include a total of six workouts. You will start by working out with one DVD per day and advancing up as you go. By doing these workouts you will burn massive calories along with improve your muscle tone. By the last week, you will be exercising twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening. You will be strong enough to do these exercises by then and you will be feeling more energized along with having increased stamina for the workouts. 
The Diet Program
The 21 Day Fix program focuses on portion controls along with healthy choices at the same time. You will not go hungry on this plan. You will be given color coded containers with details about what items go in which container and how often to consume those throughout the day. You will not have to worry about counting calories, you will just fill up the container with the food group chosen for that color and consume it when the program allows. It is a very simple program that everyone can maintain. The meal planning is also very flexible as you are able to consume foods in your containers of your choice on a daily basis. The program does recommend that everyone consume six small meals or three large meals each day along with 2-3 snacks per day.
